Anime North 2012!

Wow, I haven't posted in the longest time! D; Preparations for Anime North have kept me really busy this past month :'D The photos below are taken from various sources since I forgot my dslr at home.

My friends and I cosplayed Madoka Magica on Friday! I initially didn't want to cosplay Madoka at all, but having a full cosplay group was nice. C: We spent most of Friday just waiting in line to pick up our badges from the registration table. :S It used to only take us 5 minutes to get our badges but with the attendance cap this year, it took us around 2.5 hours... D;

Kill all the witches so I get all the bitchessss
Waiting in line for badges is we spent our time derping and posing for photos. xD I made bling to cosplay Ante Up! Madoka. ‎(●´◡`●)
I think I had the most fun on Friday even though I didn't even get to go inside the con!

On Saturday, my friend and I cosplayed Marchen and Elise from Sound Horizon's 7th album. If you haven't listened to Sound Horizon before, please do! THEY'RE AMAZING. A lot of time and money went into making this cosplay, so I hope it was worth it. ;___; It's hard to see from the photo, but around $120 worth of trim and lace is on the dress. LOL ugh, this dress was really heavy and warm so I decided not to wear it again on Sunday. :'D

I did a quick shoot at the con. :> Can't wait to have an actual shoot for this cosplay!
Can't wait for Anime North 2013!

MTAC Madoka Magica

Kyoko: Shiroame
Madoka: Kamio Jun

I did a photoshoot for the Madoka Magica cosplayers at Toronto Comicon (MTAC). I'm pretty new to photography and I'm hoping my background in illustration will partly make up for my lack of skill. xD My friends and I are also going to cosplay Madoka Magica at Anime North! ;u; I got stuck with Madoka because I'm the shortest and no one in my group likes her. booooo I wanted to be Mami or Homura.

I'm still looking for a photographer. ; u ; maybe I'll try taking some self timed shots with a tripod since I'm really picky when it comes to aesthetics.

follow the jump for the photos! there aren't many since only two cosplayers showed up (one is my close friend). xD

Odin Sphere- Gwendolyn

Gwen: Mao
Photo by Misaki

I finished this cosplay a whole year ago but never got to getting photos of it taken. xDD
I did a photoshoot in January, but I'm still waiting for the photos from my photographer. DD; These photos were taken by my friend after I did a photoshoot outside. It was really cold!
I'm pretty upset since my photographer initially said he'd have photos up within 2 weeks or so...but it's been 4 months now DD; ugh. I understand if he's busy, but I wish he'd stop making weak promises he can't fulfill.

I wish I had more photographer friends OTL

Ririchiyo at Kariya Park!

Shirakiin Ririchiyo: Mao
Miketsukami Soushi: Natsu
Photo: Misaki

My friend, Misaki, and I travelled to Kariya Park the other day for a cosplay meetup! It only takes around an hour to get there from the Toronto core, but because we took the wrong bus, the trip ended up being 4 hours long.
(:´Д`:) I am extremely terrible with directions and I get lost easily. We eventually made it to the park but we were pretty late, hahaha.

I hope you enjoy my Ririchiyo cosplay! :'D I was inspired by her casual outfits in the anime. They're really cute so I thought it was a good excuse to buy new normal clothes. LOL Oftentimes I have to decide whether or not to buy everyday clothes or cosplay. I usually choose cosplay. ; v ;
I plan to cosplay her school uniform version and also her youkai form. Please look forward to it!

Hello! Nice to meet you and welcome to my cosplay blog!
I'm an 18 year old cosplayer from Toronto and I'm cosplaying Ririchiyo from Inu x Boku SS in the photo above. It's one of my cosplayer cards which I like to print out and have on hand for cosplay events so networking is easier. :D

I had another blog previously called Meki's Snip which featured my illustration work and other miscellaneous topics, but I wanted a blog dedicated to cosplay related things. :'D
I plan to use this blog to share my cosplay progress and other related things! I hope to meet lots of friends through my new blog! Please feel free to say hi; I really enjoy meeting new cosplayers or those who are interested in cosplay/otaku culture!(*´∀`*)
